Stunning matching numbers UK TR5 with Overdrive having just had a full body of chassis restoration completed by TR Bitz. There is a full photographic history of the restoration in the history file along with lots and lots of invoices. Videos of progress have also been taken and are on a memory stick.
The chassis was blasted, strengthened and then powder coated. All suspension components were reconditioned or replaced to standard specification and fitted with Super Pro uprated bushes.
The body shell was chemically stripped and then rebuilt in our body shop with new inner wings, floors and sills. The outer panels were in remarkably good condition and only required small repairs so were retained. The body shell was the painted in 2K in its original colour of Triumph Valencia blue. All chrome work and lighting have been replaced with new. The bumpers are the stainless steel versions for longevity.
The engine, gearbox, diff and overdrive have all been completely rebuilt. The engine built to standard unleaded specification.
The fuel system was completely reconditioned with a Bosch fuel pump and alloy fuel tank.
The trim is standard black with white piping vinyl with black wool carpets. The seats were re-trimmed using original Stanpart diamond material that we bought many years ago. The hood and hood cover and both in standard black vinyl.
The wheels are new painted 72 spoke 5.5â wire wheel versions fitted with 195 65 15 tyres.
